No escape from the brawl.

I was able to find some daily work at this old furniture store on Broadway and Lyndale (as I recall) helping to move furniture. It was 25 dollars a day cash, and I needed cash! I didn’t have shit! Hell, I didn’t eat the entire first day I worked until I got paid after. That last day I was there, I hipped them to my art talent, and they tasked me with pasting together the next sales ad. I had taken graphic arts in a High School Vo-tech exchange program, so I was familiar with cut-and-paste work. I was pretty proud of myself at the end of that particular day, as I got paid the same wage, and yet I didn’t have to schlep like I did the times before. My talent got me out of the moving truck.
